In this Scorsese movie, the crazy world of the Irish mob is seen in full display. With an absolutely star-studded cast, The Departed brings out some of the best of Scorsese. The intense violence, and sneakiness of the movie really puts the audience on their toes. From fight scenes to subtle dialogue scenes, The Departed covers just about everything a movie can cover.
Why Would A Teen Enjoy?
Similar to some of the other Scorsese movies, The Departed is filled with action and violence, and will interest teens from the get-go. The surprises in the movie will make just about anybody say "wow", and the incredible acting by Dicaprio, Damon, and Nicholson is a work of art. Any teen would enjoy the perfect pacing, action, and timeline of events in this film.

As a huge Scorsese fan myself, The Departed is among the top of the list for me when it comes to his movies. He also earned his only Oscar for Best Picture and Best Director for this film. It is featured in the IMBD Top 100, and is highly regarded among all critics. Just seeing the names associated with this film can give a sense to why it is so well received.
