Aside from the whole series being incredible, the first creation in the Rocky series brings background and a story that can capture the attention of any viewer. Sylvester Stallone delivers a simple yet complex story that is both action packed and emotional. The script is outstanding and the fight scenes are very memorable. Anyone can find joy in watching Rocky.

Any teen would find the story intriguing. However, what really puts it over the top for a teen, is the fighting and training scenes. From the music to the camera shots, every boxing scene gets the audience's heart-pumping and makes them feel ready to run through a brick wall. Rocky is both subtle and energizing, and gives a teen the feeling of explosive energy throughout the movie.

Different from the sequels, Rocky 1 is viewed in very high regard amongst critics. It received a 91% on rotten tomatoes and won the Academy Award for Best Picture. Along with that, it won 2 other Academy Awards and it stands out as one of the most influential films of all time.
